SUMMARY:WiTR+ Event at the Trinity Forum\, hosted by MoodieDavitt Report
DESCRIPTION:Just before the Trinity Forum Opening Cocktail in Doha\, Qatar Duty Free and The Moodie Davitt Report hosted WiTR+ at a truly special gathering\, bringing together nearly 80 women from across the globe – from Australia and Asia to the Middle East\, Europe and South America. \nIt was a pleasure for us to welcome WiTR+ members\, women in senior leadership positions who had contributed on stage at the Forum\, and many women attending a WiTR+ event for the first time. The room was filled with energy and connection\, with the buzz of conversation reaching new heights and strong interest shown in the WiTR+ mentoring programme. \nWe were also delighted to welcome Beth\, a Qatar Airways flight captain\, who added a new and inspiring dimension to the evening by sharing what motivated her to achieve her impressive four-stripe status. \nAmid the noise and chatter\, the room fell completely silent as Irene Revilla\, Publisher at The Moodie Davitt Report\, spoke about WiTR+’s chosen charity for 2026\, Morgan’s Army Charitable Foundation – nominated by Irene on behalf of Sinéad Moodie\, who sadly passed away on February 1 following an aggressive cancer. This small charity in South Wales provides therapy and special experiences for children affected by cancer\, including siblings who so often sit quietly in the background\, being brave\, being patient\, and being “the strong one” while their world has been turned upside down. \nIn this deeply poignant moment\, Qatar Duty Free astonished us all by announcing an extraordinary US$10\,000 donation to Morgan’s Army – taking WiTR+ well on the way towards its €15\,000 fundraising target to support 500 children\, a target we will now proudly revise upwards. \nOur heartfelt thanks to The Moodie Davitt Report\, to Katie Kiddle\, Head of Loyalty\, Sponsorship and Events at Qatar Duty Free\, and her team\, and to the inimitable and big-hearted Tab Musleh\, Chief Retail and Hospitality Officer\, who made this remarkable donation on behalf of the Qatar Airways Group.

SUMMARY:Sydney Networking Event
DESCRIPTION:WiTR+ Continues to Grow in Australia with a Successful Second Sydney Event \nWomen in Travel Retail Plus (WiTR+) celebrated another milestone with its second Sydney event at the Nigel Love Building on 24th February\, an energetic and engaging afternoon proudly sponsored by Heinemann Oceania and hosted by Sydney Airport at their stunning offices overlooking the runway. With aircraft taking off and landing in the background\, more than 50 dynamic women and men from across the travel retail ecosystem\, including suppliers\, operators\, and airport partners\, came together for an inspiring celebration of connection\, conversation and community. \nGuests were welcomed with champagne\, cocktails\, and warm familiar faces\, thanks to generous support from Pernod Ricard and Bacardi. The highlight of the afternoon was a compelling Q&A session featuring Gail Taylor\, General Manager Retail at Sydney Airport\, and Lan-Anh Quenot\, Head of Category Management Beauty\, Fashion\, Accessories\, Watches & Jewellery at Heinemann Oceania. The two senior leaders shared valuable insights into the evolving landscape of airport retail. Gail outlined how shifting traveller behaviour\, changing market expectations are reshaping the sector\, along with the anticipated impact of the upcoming opening of Western Sydney Airport. She emphasised the importance of collaboration across the industry to ensure sustainable growth and a seamless customer journey. Lan-Anh explored new and emerging consumer trends\, including the increasing influence of Gen Z\, soon to be the world’s largest cohort of travellers and how their digitally driven expectations are reshaping retail engagement. She also addressed the pressures created by domestic discounting\, reaffirming the distinct value of Travel Retail and the need to continue delivering exceptional\, differentiated retail experiences. \n“It was a celebration of shared experiences\, new connections\, and the incredible energy that comes from bringing women together and I was so sad not to be able to attend in person\,”  Sarah Branquinho\, WiTR+ \nThe event was organised by the Australian WiTR+ steering committee Rosi Fernandez (La Prairie)\, Becky Holliday (Pernod Ricard)\, and Tanya Leivers (Avolta). In true WiTR+ style\, the afternoon ended with fabulous door prizes generously donated by WiTR+ supporters. \nThis successful gathering marks an exciting continuation of WiTR+’s growth in Australia. With more networking\, mentoring\, and leadership initiatives planned\, the organisation is committed to fostering empowerment\, inclusivity\, and collaboration among women in travel retail.
